Landbou Radio – 26 April 2022

The next lactation starts at the end of the previous lactation and dry cow management is critical to a cow’s performance and health in the next lactation. The feeding in the dry period will influence fertility, feed intake and metabolic disorders. In our program of 26 April, Dr Joubert Nolte, Technical Manager Ruminants at Meadow Feeds talks about the important aspects of the dry period and reminds dairy farmers not to neglect the far-off dry cows.

Willem van Jaarsveld, Chair of the Limpopo Animal Health Forum and Chair of the National Foot and Mouth Forum talks about audits that are done at auction houses and the regulations that must be adhered to. Now is the time to work together to combat the Foot and Mouth disease.

Johan Janse van Rensburg, Marketing Manager at Oro Agri tells us more about their company and the take-over of the company by Rovensa. They have a great working strategy.
