How can we improve yield with the resources we have? Well, that’s an age-old question in agriculture. Farmers have already learned that water is their main limiting factor when it comes to yields, but Valley pivots can take care of that efficiently.

Or you can constantly supervise and move the machines. Farmers spend high amounts each year because they have to move all the pipes from one field to another as they rotate crops. This operation involves also maintenance cost and the time to actually operate the system.

The power allows pivots to move at a smooth, consistent pace, even over varied terrain at any speed, while the FastPass™ technology allows it to operate up to twice the speed of a standard, high-speed AC centre-drive motor.

What are the advantages?

1. The patented alignment technology and robust DC motor keep the pivot moving at a smooth and consistent pace, even over varied terrain. It can move easily over rocks, hills and slopes, moving pivots with ease.

2. Valley X-Tec operates at up to twice the speed of a standard, high-speed AC centre-drive motor.At top speed, chemigation through the pivot is improved as chemicals are not as diluted. On those dangerously hot days of the growing season, plant health can be improved by applying a cooling pass of water. For partial circle pivots, you can now water in one direction and quickly move back to the dry part of your field to begin irrigating again. Damage to young plants from blowing soil can be reduced by applying a light application of water to hold the soil down. Your pivot can be moved out of the way much quicker for harvesting or other operations.

3. The advanced DC motor design provides constant torque throughout a wide speed range, providing growers with unmatched control and additional options to maximize crop yields.

4. In order to get high-quality yields, farmers need a lot of water, and Valley X-Tec helps them to keep up with that high demand. In hot weather areas they run their pivots all day during the hot season, and pivots with Valley X-Tec technology lets irrigation packages to match the water intake rates of the soil and evapotranspiration.

5. The patented alignment technology and robust DC motor of the Valley X-Tec allows it to move at speeds as low as 1 RPM – just 1% of maximum motor speed – or ramp up to a fast 136 RPM, giving growers the ability to gain consistent application at any speed.
