Towards a smarter, more efficient future

As a farmer, are you mechanically equipped for the future? Is conservation farming part of your vision? Better, faster and more accurate agricultural production in conjunction with the conservation and protection of our natural resources has always been part of our focus at Rovic Leers when it comes to mechanical solutions. We have been involved in every sector of agriculture for 92 years and have adapted to all the changes along the way.

Today, agriculture faces its biggest challenge ever—the combined challenge of feeding a growing population in a world where climate change is continually increasing the pressure on dwindling natural resources. Our response to this challenge is to produce better and smarter designs, as evident in the latest irrigation and planting innovations from our factory in Kuilsrivier, which are on display at NAMPO 2019. Like all our mechanical solutions, they have been developed and manufactured with pride in South Africa.

Eight years of research and testing supported by the CRI, PROCROP, EXPERICO and the University of Stellenbosch have gone into the development of the Rovic Evenflow® orchard and citrus range. Efficiency is achieved thanks to patented Syncroflow® technology, while monitoring is made easy by the smart EASS® design. This year marks the debut of the citrus nozzle, ideal for low-volume drenching applications.

One of the most advanced large-scale seed planters developed for South African conditions, the Rovic Syncroplant®stands out by virtue of its robust design and effective operation in challenging circumstances. It comes standard with PRECISION®technology for seed placement, with more than 99,5% accuracy achievable in terms of plant depth, spacing and soil/seed contact. It can be built for conventional, minimum and no-tilling operations.

During NAMPO 2019, farmers are welcome to visit us at stands B15, B16 and B17 to talk to our enthusiastic, professional and hospitable personnel about the various mechanical solutions available for their needs. We also welcome your insights and feedback as part of the ever-evolving conversation about how, as an industry, we go about solving the challenges facing agriculture today.
